A high impact gravity breaker and a method for efficacious breaking with minimum space footprint The run of mine coals/ores are crushed before being processed. Generally, jaw crushers, roller crushers, etc. are the commonly used crushers that impact from different directions. The rotary breaker, on the other hand, breaks the mineral due to gravity, breaking at points of weakness such as foliation, cracks, etc. However, the rotary breaker has limitations such as on the size of its diameter, passing out of undersized particles without being crushed further, etc. The new device is an elliptical rail parallel rings on which the interconnected carrier assemblies move. The height of the device is such that the fall can be increased without significantly increasing the width. As the impact plate is fixed, it can effectively break more particles. The carrier plate acts as a screen and passes out all undersized particles, instantly. The lifting plates and deflecting plates guide and control the movement of particles from the feed end to the rejection end. Indian Patent application no. 202011028781
A novel surface applicator for coating flexible substrates A novel surface applicator for coating flexible substrates which utilizes a juxtaposed conveyor system capable of being operated in either direction using a single power source, for causing movement, for a predetermined time, to the material the surface of which is to be coated with a liquid / paste kept in a contained resulting in surface coating of the flexible substrate without involvement of any manual operation. The invention has been applied for Patent protection (Indian Patent application no. 967DEL2002;Patent pending)
An improved tanning device The main feature of this device lies in providing an oscillating outer shell and transferring its rocking action to the inner vessel, that is subjected to an additional rotational movement with the help of gear and pinion and by the weight acting on the shelves contained in it, through the rollers on which it is positioned, thereby avoiding the presence of any moving part linked with the inner vessel, ensuring the absence of either wear & tear or loss of pressure generated in the device, resulting ultimately in the economy of energy consumption, capacity utilization, time and human labour, with uniform absorption of chemicals while processing leathers. The device finds potential application in leather processing industry for pretanning as well aspost tanning wet operations. The invention has been applied for Patent protection (Indian Patent application no. 791DEL2000; Patent pending).
A novel solid separator useful for separating solid particles from any flexible substrate such as skins and hides This is a novel device for separating solid particles such as salt mechanically from the surface of a solid substrate such as raw hides/ skins. It has enormous potential application in leather industry as a mechanical desalting device for raw hides/ skins. The main advantages of the present invention are the following. The unique features and advantages associated with the device are the following. Raw materials can be dropped through the chute and the desalted material is collected at the rear end, thereby reducing the fatigue involved in manual desalting. The removed salts are collected separately without any wastage in a collector. The percentage of salt removed is very high, when compared to other methods. The invention has been applied for patent protection (Indian patent application no. 788Del2006; Patent pending).
A device for solid-liquid extraction Disclosed herein is an ultrasound assisted extractor device for application in efficient extraction of the active ingredients present in a solid substrate. It finds significant industrial application in extracting vegetable tanning, natural dyes, etc. from plant or other natural materials. It is also useful in leather processing industry to carry out different unit operations, such as vegetable tanning, retanning, dyeing, etc. with better efficacy. It enables efficient extraction of tannin/dye from source substrate and simultaneous complete diffusion of the same in the hide/skin, leading to a significant time economy in leather processing. Indian Patent application no. is 201711017991.
