• Demonstration of improved methods of curing at important collection centres in Gujarat for improvement in raw material.

• Development of appropriate rural technologies for reducing drudgery, processing duration, eliminating foul smell and improving quality of leathers, accruing socio-economic benefits to the rural tanners.

• Organized several training programmes in leather processing and leather products manufacturing under HRD Mission, SGSY project, Poverty Alleviation Schemes etc.

• Empowerment of leather co-operative societies in Gujarat through training, tutoring and mentoring on technology upgradation.

• Conducted Diagnostic study of leather co-operative societies in Gujarat.
