- Dr. T. Ramasami, Director CLRI has been conferred the Coveted National Civilian Award "PADMASHRI" by the President of India on the 26th January 2001, for his outstanding contribution in the field of Science and Technology
- Dr. T. Ramasami has been elected as a fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences (2001)
- John Arthur wils on Memorial Lecture Award to Dr. T. Ramasami, Director (2001).
