Knowledge Portfolio Management Department (KPMD) has primarily been engaged in the following activities :

• Handling  domestic Consultancy Projects (CNP), Technical Services Projects (TSP) and Collaborative/Sponsored projects.
  
  
• Handling  IP(Intellectual Property) related activities of the Institute.
  
  
• Striving to gain social and commercial value to the research work undertaken at the institute.
  
  
• Handling technology management including pricing and transfer for successful commercialization.
  
  
• To liaise with industries, line ministries, PSU, Government organization, Academic Institutes towards developing business for institutional R&D leads.
  
  
• To  handle Funding through CSR, donations etc.
  
  
• Drafting and finalizing technology licensing agreements, MoUs, NDA and other contractual documents to be signed with external beneficiaries seeking CSIR-CLR I expertise.
  
  
• To carry out customer satisfaction evaluation from time to time.
